... and which format? As Jeff said, he'd prefer match-play over stroke-play for 3-hole games, and I agree with him.

Thanks to Mark for the earlier start! I'll make sure to enroll next week, although I don't support the obligatory use of starter equipment. Let's see what the feedback will be from other players. :hmmm:

As to running 2 separate knockout tourneys, let's just wait and see how the Sunday one pans out. It's perfectly understandable that Mark doesn't have the time to run 2 tourneys; but perhaps someone else could take over responsibility for the "other" tourney, so that Mark could ignore the other tourney, apart from setting up scripts for it. This can all be discussed in future, I hope. I'll say for now I'd be sorry to see the 9-hole weekly tourney gone for good. :ermm:

I will run it as Match Play although the players will have to record the holes themselves as Random 3 is only available in Stroke Play.

As for the course, Bethpage Black.

This is not for tomorrow but a week on Sunday.

I think for random games, it's impossible to specify front 9 or back 9. (Which is good! The more surprises, the better.) All you can specify for random 3-hole games is either Bethpage or Kiawah.

Correct you are, sir...the three random holes are often spread across both the front and back sides of the course...HB3
