The League Tables tourney is a tourney where you play matches against other players in your league. Each league contains 6 players and lasts for 28 days from the 1st to the 28th of every month. You play each player in your league only once.
To take part please click on the Signup button. You will then be added to the last division at the start of the next month. Once signed in you have the option to click on the Withdraw button if you change your mind. Each match is over 9 holes, played in Ranked MODE and on the course/holes specified in Course Details. There is no sudden death. The losing player posts the match. If a match is a draw then the players decide amongst themselves who will post the draw. A win will get you 2 points, a draw 1 point and no points for a loss. At the end of each month, based on their rankings in the final tables, players get assigned to a division for the next month according to the rules published here. The position of players in the tables is worked out as follows ... 1. Higher number of points. 2. Lower number of asterisks indicating Technical Losses or Ties. 3. Higher average difference (shown as Diff on the tables). 4. Higher number of wins. 5. Higher number of draws. 6. Lower number of losses. 7. Lowest single-round score in the course of the month. 8. Better score in head-to-head match. Once the Leagues have started and you are a contestant the Post Match button will be available. If you lose or draw your tourney match click on the Post Match button. In here you have the option to add a Comment before clicking on Report Match !. If you entered a comment then this will be viewable alongside the result on the Results page. Putting Out All players involved in a League Tables match must putt out as per the ladders. This is due to the fact that scores are required which affect the Average Difference for each player. Matches are scrutinised and possible fake scores are singled out. If there is a problem please post a topic in the League Tables forum. |
| How The League Tables Work |

|
If a League Tables participant in your division fails to respond to personal communications from you, you can request a Technical Win in such a match. You can request a Technical Win at any time throughout the month, but the soonest that a Technical Win can be awarded to you is day 22 of the month.
The personal communication must be made at least 3 times on 3 different days, preferably using different communication methods. (For example: private message/email from WGTLS; private message from WGT; and Wall post on the player's WGT profile page.) If a player fails to respond to 3 attempts at communication from another player, the player who attempted to communicate should, on the 4th day or afterward, report the communication failure in the League Tables Technical Wins forum, opening a separate thread for each communication failure. Anyone can subscribe via email to the League Tables Technical Wins forum, to ensure they won't miss any non-communication report about them. Simply click the Subscribe Forum link at the bottom of the forum webpage. It's OK to say Sorry, I'm too busy for the next 2 weeks; let's play our League Tables game in the second half of the month, please. It's not OK to fail to respond at all when fellow players from your division ask you whether you are available or not. Once you have invited a player from your division for a match at least 3 times on non-successive days and your opponent rejected each of those invitations, you may want to keep a record of the rejections. (For example, your opponent's replies sent as private messages are automatically archived both by WGTLS's and WGT's messaging software.) On day 28 of the month, if you have a reason to believe that your game with a particular opponent in your division might no longer be completed on time before the deadline, please open a separate thread for the issue in the League Tables Technical Wins forum, and present your evidence for the rejected invitations. If the game, indeed, fails to get completed before the deadline and your opponent does not refute your evidence in the forum within 24 hours from the time-stamp of your original forum post, you will be credited with a Technical Win and your opponent penalized with a Technical Loss. If both sides present evidence in the forum that will make it possible to identify both sides as guilty for the non-completion of a game (not necessarily equally guilty), then the game shall be evaluated as a Technical Tie, with both players receiving 1 point. If, on day 29 of a month, a scheduled division game has not been played, and there has either been no communication about the game in the League Tables Technical Wins forum, or it is impossible to determine which of the 2 players caused the non-completion of the game, such a match shall be evaluated as a Technical Tie, and each player will receive 1 point. If any player by the end of the month has more than 2 Technical Losses or Ties in total, that player will automatically be disqualified from the League Tables for the following month, and may only re-enter the competition the month after that as a league newcomer. |
